What is Slimtime?

SlimTime is medically formulated meal replacements that are intended to be part of an evidence-based obesity care plan administered/followed by a registered dietitian and/or obesity medicine specialist (doctor, nurse practitioner).

When to use SlimTime?

Talk to your healthcare provider or obesity medicine specialist to determine if SlimTime is safe for you to use. Some people will use these products during the following times:

    • Losing weight (voluntary or involuntary)
    • If they’ve lost or are at risk of losing muscle mass
    • Recovering from a surgery, illness or injury
    • If they have a low appetite
    • If they have been told or are at risk of malnutrition

Is it safe to lose weight with SlimTime meal replacement shakes?

  • Clinical studies suggest that medical obesity care programs are safe and effective. The Canadian Adult Obesity Clinical Practice Guidelines recommends that partial and/or full meal replacements can be used as part of an intensive behaviour-based program to help with improving:
    • Heart health
    • Blood sugar management (i.e. pre-diabetes or diabetes)
    • Blood pressure
    • Lipid levels
    • Body weight and;
    • Waist circumference

 

  • Meal replacements may also be recommended in preparation for a surgery or procedure. These products can help your body get enough protein to prevent muscle loss or to help your body heal faster. Meal replacements also have added vitamins and minerals to support your body during times when you may not get enough nutrition from food sources.

I have food intolerances, are the SlimTime shakes safe for me?

SlimTime shakes are gluten free, kosher, and appropriate for people with lactose intolerance.

SlimTime shakes do contain:

  • Milk. If you have a cow-milk allergy, you will not be able to use this product.
  • Sulfites
  • May contain: wheat, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts (as they are products in a facility that may contain these ingredients)

I have celiac disease. Are the SlimTime products safe for me?

SlimTime shakes do not have any ingredients containing gluten but may be produced in a facility that contains gluten. Please consult with your registered dietitian, and/or healthcare provider for your specific needs.

Where is SlimTime made?

SlimTime products are all produced in Canadian facilities.

Do the products expire?

Like all food, SlimTime products are perishable. We will always make sure that you have enough time to complete the shakes before expiry based on your assigned program & start date.

How can I get a code to order SlimTime?

You can contact a local Canadian healthcare professional that specializes in weight management programs to receive a code that is associated to your program. If they are not a current partner with us, have them reach out!

How many boxes of SlimTime Shakes should I order?

Programs vary depending on individual programs. It is recommended to follow the program that was developped specifically for you by your healthcare professional.

How many servings per box?

There are 7 servings per box of SlimTime.

What methods of payment do you accept?

All major credit cards are accepted as a method of payment, as well as PayPal.

The charge on my credit card shows as Minogue Medical, is this normal?

SlimTime is an exclusive product of Minogue Medical.

Where do you ship from?

All of our order are processed at Minogue Medical Headquarters in Saint-Laurent, QC, Canada

What shipping provider do you use?

Orders are shipped using Purolator or Canada Post. Choose your preference at checkout.

Is signature required upon delivery?

Signature is NOT REQUIRED at delivery. It is encouraged to provide an address where someone will be available to receive the parcel during business hours.

How are shipping costs calculated?

Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight of the items in your order and your shipping postal code

We process most orders within 24 business hours. Estimated shipping timelines are calculated and displayed at checkout based on the shipping method you choose.

Once an order is shipped it is considered final sale. If you need to make changes to an order please contact us right away – we process orders quickly!

How do I make SlimTime?

• Mix 1 packet with at least 300 ml (1 1/4 cups) of COLD water. You can add ice cubes
if you like. Shake well or use a blender.
• Make sure you have 4 SlimTime shakes each day. Do not drink less than 4 SimTime
shakes a day as this can result in muscle loss and poor healing after surgery.
• Drink at least 2 liters (8 cups) of fluid each day including the SlimTime amounts.

When should I take SlimTime?

Everyone’s meal routine is different. Try to follow the same meal pattern you have now.
TIP: Have a shake every 3-4 hours.

What else can I take with SlimTime?

Drink sugar-free, calorie-free beverages that are non-carbonated, including:

• Water (add some fresh lemon or lime)
• Decaf coffee or tea (Limit milk or artificial sweetener to 60 mL (1/4 cup) per day
• Sugar-free water flavourings (Crystal Light® or Mio®)
• Chicken, beef or vegetable broth or brouillon: 175 to 250 ml (1/2 to 1 cup) per day
• Sugar-free jello (limit to one serving per day)
• Popsicles made from Crystal Light® or Mio®

You can also have up to 500ml (2 cups) a day of the following vegetables:
• Green pepper
• Broccoli
• Cauliflower
• Lettuce
You can use a small amount (1 tablespoon or 15 ml) of calorie-free dressing with vegetables if you like.

Can I add anything to change the flavour?

You may add any of the following to SlimTime to change the flavour:
• Decaf coffee (brewed or instant coffee)
• Sugar-free syrups or flavour extracts such as mint, berry, maple, vanilla or banana
• Zero-calorie drinks such as Crystal Light® or Mio®
• Decaf Chai Tea

What should I do if I have diabetes?

If you need help adjusting your diabetes medications while on SlimTime, please call your family doctor or your bariatric center.

What if I have constipation or diarrhea while taking SlimTime?

Sometimes, people have constipation or diarrhea while taking SlimTime. This can be caused by low fibre found in the product. Be sure to have up to 500 mL (2 cups) of vegetables listed above.

If you have constipation, increase your fluids up to 3 liters (12 cups) each day. You can also try using a fibre suppliment such as Benefibre® or Metamucil® inulin or powdered psyllium. Use the sugar-free versions of these products. Start with the lowest dose and follow the instructions on the label, up to the maximum daily dose.

If you still have constipation, you can also use medications for constipation such as colace, senekot or milk of magnesia. If you have diarrhea, it is still important to drink at least 3 liters (12 cups) of total fluids a day. Using a fibre suplement such as Benefibre® or Metamucil® inulin or powdered psuyllium can also help with diarrhea. Use the sugar-free versions of these products. Start with the lowest dose and follow the instructions on the label, up to the maximum daily dose.
